What’s for Dinner: Cheese and Chicken Pie

This recipe is so easy!  It is a great Revamp for Roast chicken.

Cheese and Chicken Pie

  • CHEESE, 180g, grated or cut into slices
  • COOKED CHICKEN 180 – 240g, chopped
  • FLOUR (self raising or plain) 1 tablespoon
  • EGGS 3
  • MILK ¾ cup (225 ml)
  • SALT and PEPPER to taste
  • Optional extras add:
  • ONION 1, sliced
  • HERBS freshly chopped
  1. Grease pie dish with butter and place defrosted pastry into dish.
  2. Put CHEESE, CHICKEN and FLOUR (and optional extras) in a bowl and mix to coat. Put into the pie dish lined with the pastry.
  3. In a bowl beat EGGS and MILK and season lightly, then pour over CHICKEN and CHEESE in pie dish.
  4. Bake in a HOT oven 230 degrees for 15 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat and make for 20 – 30 minutes at 160 degrees.
