How much do I love strawberries right now!

If you’ve been to the market or supermarket recently you’ll have noticed the beautiful wafting smell of strawberries everywhere!

Strawberries are a great source of Vitamin C, and relatively rich in potassium.  They are also super low in calories, making them a great food if you’re watching your weight.

In the 13th century about five or six species were then known and by the 19th century more than 600 varieties were developed*!!

My favourite recipe for strawberries?  Washed, hulled and eaten fresh.
